About Me

Welcome to my website and my personal story.

I work with people who carry emotional wounds from the challenges of everyday life and who are looking for healing and relief from painful feelings. These struggles often begin in childhood, such as losing a parent early, growing up with a parent who was ill (physically or mentally), financial instability that made it hard to feel safe and cared for, exposure to substance use, or experiencing divorce at a young age.

In adulthood, challenges can continue: work stress and burnout, anxiety, depression, anger, divorce, grief, substance use, or other painful circumstances. Many people also cope with compulsive patterns like overeating, unhealthy food choices, or relying too much on alcohol or drugs.

As you can see, none of us escape the wounds of being human. You are not alone. If any of this resonates with you, let me tell you more about myself so you can begin to see how I might be a helpful guide in your healing journey.

  • My Story

I’ll focus my story on what matters most to you. Like many therapists, I first entered this field to better understand myself, and I’m still learning and growing every day. The more healing work I do in my own life, the more confidence I have in supporting my clients on their journeys.

In college, I studied psychology and religious studies, exploring questions about my Catholic upbringing and my early life experiences. In graduate school, I trained in clinical psychology so I could strengthen my own mental health and offer meaningful support to others.

Over the years, both my clients and my personal growth have deepened my understanding of what true change requires and how healing really happens.

    My Approach to Therapy

When you work with me, therapy unfolds in two parts:

    Part One: Healing Emotional Wounds
We begin by addressing the emotional pain that brought you into therapy. Together, we’ll build a trusting relationship and work with all the different parts of your inner world. Here are some of the tools I use:

    1. Internal Family Systems (IFS): Developed by Dr. Richard Schwartz, IFS helps us understand that the mind is made up of different “parts,” each with its own role. This approach creates compassion and harmony within.

    2. The Compassion Key: Created by Edward Mannix, this method focuses on healing the inner child through deep self-compassion.

    3. Ketamine-Assisted Therapy: For those whose emotional pain has not responded to other treatments, ketamine can offer a safe and effective path to healing. I am trained to guide this process responsibly and ethically.

    4. Metabolic Health: What we eat profoundly affects our mood and well-being. Addressing nutrition, weight concerns, eating disorders, and related health issues provides a strong foundation for emotional healing.

    Part Two: Creating Your Vision
Once the pain is eased, we’ll work together to design a blueprint for your future, a “wheel of wellness” to guide you in seven key areas of life: health, relationships, career and professional growth, finances, meaning and spirituality, creativity, and contributions to others. This plan will help you live in alignment with your dreams and purpose.

    A Final Word

I look forward to meeting you—here on this site and, hopefully, in person—so we can explore your needs and discover how I can support your healing and growth.
