Couples Counseling
What to expect when we work together:
Thoughtful assessment of your relationship history and the concerns that brought you to therapy.
Exploration of early patterns, the relationship models you each grew up with and how they may be affecting your partnership today.
Collaborative treatment plan tailored to your needs and goals, based on what we discover together in the assessment process.
We use guided, focused work on each key area identified in the plan to reduce pain, improve communication, and strengthen connection with each other..
A shared vision for the future, where you each create a personal wellness plan that includes: health, relationships, career growth and development, finances, the meaning of living and dying, creativity, and contribution.

I believe there’s one essential truth that can transform a relationship: every fight, conflict, and painful pattern has roots in each partner’s individual history. The challenges you face together often connect back to early experiences that shaped how you relate to yourself and to each other.
You may have heard the saying that women marry their fathers and men look for their mothers in their wives.. While oversimplified and not true for everyone, it points to a real dynamic, old patterns from our past can reappear in our closest relationships. Recognizing this opens the door to healing and growth.
When I work with couples, I draw from leading specialists in couples work: John and Julie Gottman, Esther Perel, and Toni Herbine-Blank. Their approaches affirm the power of compassion, curiosity, and connection, with yourself and with your partner. Blending these insights, I help couples build relationships that feel safer, stronger, and more supportive.
My aim is to provide a calm, non-blaming space where we focus on patterns, not villains, and move at a pace that feels safe to both of you. Together, we can turn conflict into a catalyst for healing, growth, and lasting support.
